What is an inertial navigation system (INS)? When mounted on a device or vehicle, an INS is a high-performance system which able to determine position, velocity and orientation (roll, pitch and yaw). The INS is used in submarines, ground-based vehicles, planes and other aircraft, ships and more.

One system we can supply is the INS-T-306 by Tersus, which uses a range of sophisticated sensors such as an advanced Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) receiver, accelerometers, magnetometers and gyroscopes to provide accurate calculations of the device or vehicle its mounted on.
