Inertial Navigation Systems
Three dimensional navigation – Roll, Pitch and Yaw.
What is an inertial navigation system (INS)? When mounted on a device or vehicle, an INS is a high-performance system which able to determine position, velocity and orientation (roll, pitch and yaw). The INS is used in submarines, ground-based vehicles, planes and other aircraft, ships and more.
One system we can supply is the INS-T-306 by Tersus, which uses a range of sophisticated sensors such as an advanced Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) receiver, accelerometers, magnetometers and gyroscopes to provide accurate calculations of the device or vehicle its mounted on.
Freelance Robotics can supply off the shelf INS products such as the INS-T-306 and if required we can integrate this solution, or other suitable INS products for the application you require.
